About NAKED's Creators
Germaine Shames, a Dramatists Guild Foundation Fellow, Kilroys List playwright, and winner of her state's Literary Fellowship in Fiction, brings a lifelong love of story to musical theatre. As a librettist-lyricist, she works with award-winning composers in theatre, opera, choral and popular music. Shames' works have been selected for such events as NJ Theatre Alliance Stages Festival and Festival of New American Theatre and earned productions in New York City, LA, Chicago, London and Minneapolis. Naked is her sixth musical.
Tareq Abuissa is a New York-based composer, lyricist, and music director. Naked is his fourth musical, with past hits including the tech industry satire South of Market: The Musical. While studying Music and Mathematics at Columbia University, he co-composed the 118th Varsity Show, The Corporate Core, and his chamber music was performed in Miller Theatre. Abuissa is a member of the Society of Composers & Lyricists.
